Askerne Hawkes Bay Chardonnay 2008

Tasting notes The resulting wine continues the elegant complex style pursued in our handling of this variety. Mealy nutty characters are evident on the nose together with citrus, stonefruit and smoky oak. These flavours flow to the palate, which reflects a good balance of clean fruit with restrained oak. The wine is elegant, silky textured and well structured making it an excellent food wine. The wine complements fish, chicken and pork dishes.
